The small class sizes provide students with an opportunity to have one-on-one care from instructors. Whether you’re just beginning your yoga journey or have been practicing for some time, this is certainly a studio to check out!

The Orchid Tree is another local studio that offers unique classes to students. Enjoy chair yoga, family yoga, and BarreFlow in addition to traditional yoga classes. Up for a challenge? Take the short drive to Thompson’s lake and participate in Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga!

You’ll find your favorite clothing, home goods, and electronic stores at Crossgates Mall. If you’re in a pinch or want to stay close to home, Hamilton Square is less than a mile from Heritage Village. Some of the shops located in the square include:

Living at Heritage Village, you’re never too far from some of the best restaurants and food in town. Marisa’s Place and Ruggiero’s Pizza & Deli have some of the best pies in town.

Guilderland is home to some of the best restaurants featuring dishes from around the world. For Greek and Mediterranean fare, visit Sage Bistro in Hamilton Square. Akanomi serves up traditional Japanese dishes while Nirvana has some of the best Indian cuisines in the Capital Region.

If you’re craving late-night pancakes or waffles, Guilderland has two diners; Capital City Diner and Western Diner. Both serve up American comfort food in classic diner settings.

Things to Do

In addition to shopping and great restaurants, Guilderland has an endless list of things to do for both kids and adults. Albany Pine Bush Preserve is a globally rare ecosystem located right in the Capital Region. There are 3,200 acres and more than 18 miles of trails the whole family will enjoy hiking. While you’re visiting the preserve see if you can spot a famous Karner blue butterfly!

In addition to shopping, Crossgates Mall has several entertainment options. If you’re in the mood for some puzzle solving, visit 5 Wits. The interactive adventure escape room has three different puzzles to solve in a highly immersive environment. For arcade games, visit Dave & Buster’s! The multitude of video and arcade games will keep you and your friends entertained until the venue closes.

Also located in Crossgates Mall is the Funny Bone Comedy Club & Restaurant. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and a comedy show in a casual environment. Seating is community-style, encouraging people to talk before the show begins and make new friends!

Commute Times

Guilderland is centrally located, making commutes to nearby Albany, Troy, Clifton Park and Saratoga Springs short and easy! Commute times by car for major surrounding cities include 20 minutes to downtown Albany, 23 minutes to Schenectady, 25 minutes to Troy, 25 minutes to Clifton Park, and 35 minutes to Saratoga Springs.
